What I'm Loving

I came across these as I was browsing the web the other day.
How. Freaking. Cute.
Customizable, but they cost a pretty penny.

What's goin' through my head

I honestly don't know where to start. This is the problem with me having a blog, it seems that I only write on it twice a year (at the end of each semester or when something HUGE happens). And no... nothing huge happened... but the semester FINALLY ended. Phew.

This semester has been somewhat of a blur. I took 18 credits this semester which wouldn't be too bad, except a few of those classes took up my entire life (welcome to nursing school). I felt like I hadn't learned anything this whole semester, then finals started. I started reviewing everything I had learned and much to my surprise I have learned a LOT. Now I feel a little bit more confident about this whole school thing (maybe it really does help?). I am happy to report that I have four out of my 6 grades and I have 3 A's and 1 A-. I'm proud of myself, I can't help but boast a little.

One thing I must vent about really fast, why is it that you do not get lab hours for classes? You have a lab or a clinical and you go 7 times for 12 hours (84 hours) plus spend close to 70 hours outside of class doing written assignments for that lab but you don't get credit? Oh wait, the class is 4 credit hours but you're spending that in class plus 8+ hours a week outside class studying... that makes sense, but where do all the lab hours go? Hmm... something is wrong there.

Anyway, enough of that. Let's celebrate! I feel like I haven't seen Cody in a really, REALLY long time. He has been working a ton lately (60+) hours a week. He has been staying busy at his full-time job working for Restore-Pro, but he's also been doing a ton of side-jobs. He does vinyl fences with his brother and dad and they've been staying busy doing that even up until this week! He's also been installing Christmas lights with his buddy Mike. It's kind of a love-hate relationship. He loves staying busy but he mostly loves the extra cash. (I appreciate it too- I just miss my Code). I have been a bit neglectful lately (you should see the house, laundry baskets, oh.. and the empty fridge) but now that finals are over I want to do something extra special!

I can't believe that Christmas is almost here! I haven't done much of anything to get ready for it. We decorated the house a little, I'll put pictures up soon! We've also been trying to finish up some gifts for the holidays (family, neighbors, friends). This year we're not doing too much for each other because we're going on a CRUISE! 7 night mexican rivera leaving out of Long Beach. We're going with our friends Bre and Brian! It's not until May, that's plenty of time to start working out, riiiiight?

I'll try and catch up with a few things we've been up to over the past few months.
